Sofia Garcia

I am a first-generation Latina and transfer student from a low-income background. I earned my Associate in Science from Monterey Peninsula College, where I had the opportunity to participate in graduate-level research at UC Santa Cruz. I am currently pursuing a degree in Molecular Environmental Biology, with a strong interest in finding ways to protect and preserve our planet. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in healthcare where I can support underserved communities and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Through this program, I look forward to developing valuable skills that will help me achieve these goals.
