Sociology
Bio/CV:
I have been impacted by many systems during my life. I want to be able to use these experiences to be able to propel me into research. I plan on going on to graduate school and delving into the many issues that plague my community. Specifically in the areas of education, criminal justice, health care, and immigration to name a few. My hobbies are reading, listening to music, hiking, and crocheting. I recently got into photography so I'm constantly snapping pictures.
Research interests:
I am very excited about developing a project that builds on my work with Grupo Justicia Curativa. As part of the Miller Scholars Program, I aim to develop community and campus healing circles for individuals who were formerly incarcerated in immigration detention, or who have families who are, or have been incarcerated.
