My name is Ingrid Xia Ardon and I'm from Guatemala but I grew up in Southern California. As a child of immigrants, my research interests lie withing the undocumented community. I hope to explore various other topics regarding the undocumented community as a future researcher. My goal is to be able to give back to the community that helped me get to where I am now.
My research interests lie with the undocumented community. My Miller Scholars Project focused on the original Dream Act that failed to pass as federal law and how it could have impacted higher education. Throughout the project I explore limited opportunities for the undocumented community such as The California Dream Act and the Deffered Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and their impact on higher education.
