A first-generation Latina student from the Central Valley, I am deeply passionate about addressing healthcare disparities and expanding access to mental health resources in underserved communities. At the moment, I am deciding between whether I would like to go into the law and medical field, as I aspire to either become a psychiatrist or immigration lawyer in the future. Outside of school, I love to advocate, volunteer, draw, and write.
I am currently interested in exploring potential withdrawal management medications for individuals recovering from stimulant dependence. Additionally, I am interested in examining the impact of the current administration's policies and ICE raids on undergraduate students' access to academic resources and other on-campus services. My research interests also include examining the impact of rape myth education on jury decision-making to better understand how training can reduce bias and promote justified outcomes in sexual assault trials.
